Bubba Bear is a charming 3-year-old, approximately 60lb dog, believed to be a Black Lab/Pittie mix. His most striking feature is his unique "toothless smile" that instantly melts hearts. He's as gentle and innocent as he looks, possessing a personality that's even sweeter than his adorable face. Bubba's video will surely make you fall in love! He's an incredibly easy-going and calm companion, perfect for someone seeking a peaceful presence in their home. He enjoys quietly following his people around and making any space feel more relaxed. Bubba can be a bit slow to warm up to new environments and people, preferring to observe and assess before fully settling in. Once comfortable, he's incredibly affectionate, politely asking for pets with a gentle head in your lap or a paw offered.
Ideal Home
Bubba would thrive in a calm home that matches his mellow personality. He's a homebody who would be happiest in a residential neighborhood with a fenced yard, where he can enjoy a predictable routine and a peaceful environment. Apartment living or life in a busy city would likely not be his ideal match. He would do best with another calm, mellow dog who shares his laid-back outlook, rather than an energetic playmate. He has also done well with cats and is happy to peacefully coexist.

Training & Support
Bubba is crate trained, but prefers not to be crated alone and settles better when he can see his family or canine friends nearby. He is also doing wonderfully with potty training, having had very few accidents since adjusting to his foster home. He has learned to use a doggy door if needed.

Transportation
We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
