Micaela

Micaela is a sweet, approximately 2-year-old husky who has overcome immense hardship. She arrived at a high-kill shelter in Texas with a fractured jaw, significant misalignment, bleeding gums, and deep tissue infection from untreated injuries. She also tested positive for heartworm and has begun slow-kill treatment. Despite her painful past, Micaela is a resilient and gentle soul who leans into affection and watches her caregivers with grateful eyes. Her dental issues have been addressed with a cleaning and tooth removal, and she is now on a path to a normal, pain-free life.

Ongoing Health

Micaela is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment. She has also had a dental cleaning and had damaged teeth removed due to a past untreated jaw fracture.

Training & Support

Micaela is learning to trust again and is slowly adapting to her safe environment. She will benefit from continued patience and gentle guidance as she fully heals and settles into her forever home.
