Pongo has been with us for a year, and we are so excited to finally find him the loving forever home he deserves! He arrived as a puppy and has spent his first year growing up in rescue, which is heartbreaking. His foster family is heading away for the summer, so we are hoping that now is finally Pongo's time to shine! A reduced adoption fee does not mean reduced standards. Pongo's perfect family is still out there, and we won't settle for anything less than the perfect fit. We carefully screen every application, and Pongo will continue to receive the same thoughtful placement process as every dog in our care.
At just over a year old and around 50 lbs, Pongo is packed full of personality, intelligence, and love. We think he may be a Border Collie/Lab mix, but honestly, your guess is as good as ours! What we do know is that he's 100% adorable. Pongo can be a little nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations, but he has worked incredibly hard to build his confidence. He even spent several weeks training with Style K9 Dog Training, where he learned valuable skills that have helped him thrive. His future family will receive follow-up training sessions (already included in his adoption fee!) because we want to set him up for lifelong success.
Ideal Home
Pongo would do best with older, dog-savvy children who can help him continue building confidence at his own pace. His dream home includes a family who understands him, a yard to zoom around in, squirrels to supervise, and people who will love him for the amazing dog he is.

Training & Support
Pongo walks beautifully on leash and sits politely at stops. He is crate trained and fully housebroken. He is a professional-level cuddler who always wants to be near his people. He is smart, playful, food motivated, and eager to learn. He is great with dogs and good with cats. He is happy as an only dog or with canine companions. His future family will receive follow-up training sessions (already included in his adoption fee!).
