Meeka - Resilient Ball Player!

Meeka is a gorgeous, petite German Shepherd girl with incredibly soft fur and beautiful brown eyes. She's about 53lbs and 5-6 years old, with plenty of companionship to offer. Meeka was surrendered by a family who didn't have enough time for her. She can experience anxiety, which may manifest as turning in circles and barking, but this is easily resolved by throwing a ball for her or giving her a stuffed animal. Most of the time, she's a calm dog with low to medium energy, but she truly comes alive when playing fetch, her absolute favorite activity! She even enjoyed a recent soccer game with local volunteers. Meeka is sweet, friendly, and exceptionally loyal. She loves to stay close and cuddle on the couch. She is incredibly gentle, even when taking treats or food. Meeka is wonderful and non-reactive with other dogs. She walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides. While she hasn't been tested with cats, she doesn't seem to have a prey drive and might do well with them with some introduction.

Ideal Home

A home where Meeka can get plenty of playtime, especially fetch, and receive gentle companionship.

Ongoing Health

Meeka is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Meeka is house-trained and does not require a crate. She enjoys being pampered and groomed. While generally calm, she can experience anxiety. Providing her with a ball or stuffed animal can help her redirect this energy.

Transporation

Meeka is currently being fostered near Houston, TX. She can be transported to a location near you via scheduled transport services. Transport typically occurs once a month. The adoption fee is $300, plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.
