Meet Chowder! 🐾 Chowder is a handsome 1.5-year-old Terrier mix who weighs about 63 lbs. He has a striking coat and an even more striking personality to match! If you’re looking for a true people dog, Chowder is your guy. He absolutely lives for human connection, and his favorite activities include greeting everyone he meets with full-body wiggles, hugs, and kisses. He soaks up all the love and attention he can get and has never met a stranger! Chowder has a great zest for life and enjoys both playtime and outdoor adventures, making him a wonderful match for an active home. He has happily attended doggy daycare, was a city-dweller in NYC, and LOVES being outdoors. Chowder is intelligent and eager to learn, and he thrives in a home that provides structure, consistency, and positive leaders. In return, you’ll get an incredibly loyal, affectionate companion who bonds deeply with his people. At the end of the day, Chowder is what we lovingly call a “love bug with personality.” If you’re ready for a fun, affectionate, and spirited best friend who will keep you smiling every day, Chowder is waiting to meet you.

Ideal Home

Chowder would love a home with a yard and a family who can keep up with his fun, active lifestyle and continue helping him learn and grow. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit for both pets and families.

Ongoing Health

Chowder is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Chowder is fully potty trained and crate trained, settling in easily. He is smart and eager to learn, especially with consistency. Every rescue pup is a work in progress, and Chowder comes with his own story and quirks, but with love and patience, he will bloom into the very best version of himself.

Transporation

Chowder is currently fostered in Eastern PA and is available for out-of-state/out-of-area adoption. Transportation can be coordinated.
