Bear Buddy Heart

Bear is a handsome, confident, and people-loving dog with a big personality! He's estimated to be a little over a year old and weighs about 60 lbs, likely a pittie mix. Bear is eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement, especially when treats are involved! He's already house and crate trained, making him a great addition to a home.

Ideal Home

Bear would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training. He would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful nature. A dog-savvy, confident cat and slow introductions would be essential if you have feline friends.

Ongoing Health

Bear is a healthy dog who has received all his vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Bear is still in his puppy phase and will need continued guidance on leash manners, especially around other dogs. While he can get a little too excited during play, he learns quickly and respects boundaries once he understands them. Consistent handling and clear communication will help him succeed. He loves enrichment puzzles!

Transporation

Bear is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A surcharge of $87 applies due to rising transportation costs.
