Meet Amy!
Some dogs have a way of making everyone they meet fall in love—and Amy is one of them. This precious 2-year-old Chiweenie mix weighs just 12 pounds and has the sweetest, most gentle personality you could ask for. She found herself in a high-kill shelter, where she spent nearly a month waiting for someone to notice her. As time ran out, Amy was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, we were able to pull both Amy and her kennel mate, Stan, just in time. The moment they realized they were leaving the shelter, Amy couldn't stop smiling on her freedom ride. It was as if she knew her new life had finally begun.
Amy is everything you could want in a companion. She's affectionate, calm, and loves everyone she meets. She is being fostered with other dogs, kids, and cats and is doing wonderfully with all of them. At just 12 pounds, she's the perfect size for cuddling on the couch, joining you on adventures, or simply being your constant little shadow. If you've been searching for a small dog with an incredible temperament and an even bigger heart, Amy is ready to become your newest family member.
