Blitz is a handsome 3-year-old pug mix, with a touch of what we think might be Boston Terrier, who arrived in our care because his previous owner had no time for him. He's a bundle of love and energy, eager to play and be part of the action! Blitz is still learning the ropes and decompressing after his neuter surgery, and we're excited to see his confidence grow. He's incredibly sweet and affectionate, loves to play fetch, and gives the gentlest kisses. He's also made fast friends with foster brother Scruffy, who seems to be enjoying Blitz's playful antics. Blitz is a smart boy who responds well to gentle guidance and is working on his house and crate training.
Ideal Home
Blitz would thrive in a home with older, dog-savvy children (ages 10 and up) who can understand his body language and respect his space, especially around high-value items like bones. He'd love a canine companion who enjoys playing, though he does seem to prefer to be the one in charge! A home with a fenced yard for plenty of play would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Blitz is recovering well from his recent neuter surgery and has finished his post-operative medications. He's still working on building a consistent appetite, but we're encouraged by his progress and his love for plain Greek yogurt mixed into his kibble.
Training & Support
Blitz is still learning and can be a bit anxious, especially as he adjusts to new surroundings and routines. He's working on house and crate training, and while he's generally well-behaved, he has shown some guarding behavior around bones, which is being addressed with gentle correction and support. His energy levels are high, so he'll benefit from a home that can provide plenty of outlets for him to play and decompress.
