Gigi is a beautiful 3-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix, weighing around 40 lbs. She's a resilient and loving girl who was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico. Despite a difficult start, including a life-threatening hospitalization during her spay surgery, Gigi has shown incredible strength and a deep capacity for love. She's incredibly grateful for her rescue and is now ready to find a forever family to cherish. Gigi is a wonderfully imperfect dog who will shower her adopters with loyalty and affection.
Ideal Home
Gigi would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard. Families who enjoy outdoor activities and have experience with the Staffordshire Terrier breed are ideal. A home with an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals and a commitment to understanding their behaviors is essential. She needs a family with experience in dog behavior and training, and high tolerance and patience for a rescued pup.
Ongoing Health
Gigi is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, tested negative for heartworm, and receives monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She has a clean bill of health with a certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Gigi is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared for this. Her foster family is working on her rehabilitation, and she will need continued guidance and patience as she adjusts to a new home.

Applications for Gigi start by contacting us through Wags. We require a thorough online application, a phone/email interview, a virtual or in-person home check, and a virtual meet-and-greet. A trial adoption period will be provided to ensure a successful match.
Transportation
Gigi is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee of $400.00, which covers the cost of a professional transport company.
