Meet Arthur! Arthur is a 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This handsome boy is the perfect combination of playful adventure buddy and affectionate cuddle companion. He was found roaming around a park and eventually brought to a county shelter before a foster stepped in to help him. Arthur loves life and approaches every day with enthusiasm. He's a moderate energy guy who enjoys playtime, exploring, and spending time with his people. He thinks if he can fit, he can sit! Arthur may pull at first out on a walk, but he settles into the routine and does well.
Ideal Home
Arthur would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, structure, and plenty of opportunities to be part of the family. He doesn't need another dog to be happy, but he would do best with people who enjoy including their dog in everyday adventures. While he has done well with a young child, due to his size and excitement, he could accidentally knock over a small child during play. A family that understands his energetic nature and can provide appropriate outlets for his enthusiasm would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Arthur is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Arthur is fully house-trained and crate-trained, settling nicely in his crate for extended periods. He rides beautifully in the car and absolutely LOVES car rides!
