Rupert

Rupert is an especially handsome 7-year-old Husky weighing 80 pounds. He has been at our shelter for over a year waiting to find a home where he can thrive. Rupert is an active, playful boy who walks well on leash. He can be a bit judgey – you might think he’s sitting calmly in the corner of your office, but his eyes might say he’s judging your hairstyle! Rupert was not born to be a sled dog or leader of the pack. In fact, he really doesn’t like to be around other dogs and wants to be your one-and-only canine companion. Despite his good looks, he would rather not be pet, cuddled, or fussed over. He’s smart and loves training time, which is his favorite way to bond with people. We’re committed to finding Rupert a good home, and he is in no danger and can stay at our shelter as long as it takes to find a good fit.

Ideal Home

An adult-only home where his desire for personal space and preference to not be touched is respected. Rupert prefers to be the only pet in the home.

Ongoing Health

Rupert is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, negative for heartworm, and started on preventative treatment.

Training & Support

Rupert is smart and loves training time, which is his favorite way to bond with people.
