Norma Jeane is a spunky and playful 8-ish year old, 10lb poodle girl who absolutely lives for a good game of fetch! She's as lively as they come and her ideal day involves chasing a ball non-stop, with short naps in between. Norma is wonderful with people, especially young children who are respectful around dogs. She adores following her young human companion around and playing ball together. While she's not a cuddler and prefers to play or be independent, she's an awesome sidekick who's game for anything! Norma has a medium energy level; she's happy to go along for rides but truly shines when it's game on with a ball indoors. She doesn't exhibit separation anxiety and is non-destructive when left to roam, but she is still working on her potty training. She will go outside if the back door is left open, but may have accidents inside if not closely supervised. She's perfectly content in her crate, which she never soils. Norma is a great car rider and loves looking out the window. She coexists perfectly with other large dogs, acting as if they aren't there, and would be fine with another laid-back dog or as a solo pup.
Ideal Home
An adopter who is committed to playing fetch at least 4 times a day is required. She thrives with young, respectful children and would do well in a home with another laid-back dog or as the only pet.
Ongoing Health
Norma Jeane has successfully completed heartworm treatment. She was unable to be spayed prior to treatment as heartworm management was the priority. Arrangements will be made with the adopter for an appropriate spay date before she leaves the rescue.
Training & Support
Potty training is a work in progress. While she will go outside if the door is open, she needs supervision to prevent indoor accidents. She is crate trained and does not soil her crate.
