Hondo **Special Needs**

Hondo is a shy and fearful adult male Shar-Pei who, after being rescued from a puppy mill, experienced a seizure due to stress. He recovered quickly, and we've learned that a calm environment is best for him. Hondo does well with dogs of the opposite sex and has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion with the right adopter.

Ideal Home

A calm and quiet home environment is essential for Hondo's well-being. It is unknown how he would do with children or cats. He thrives with balanced dogs of the opposite sex to help guide him.

Ongoing Health

Hondo is susceptible to seizures when stressed, so a low-stress environment is crucial. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Hondo is shy and fearful due to his past. He will need a patient adopter who can provide him with gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. Having a balanced, opposite-sex dog in the home would be beneficial to help show him the ropes.
