Summer Smiles is a German Shepherd mix, about 4 years old and weighing 45 lbs. She's a small but mighty bundle of joy, a true social butterfly who will be your personal cheerleader, always bringing a smile to your face and brightening your day. She loves everyone she meets, knowing no strangers and forming instant connections. Summer is a go-with-the-flow girl who is happy wherever she is and whoever she's with, making it impossible not to fall for her friendly and goofy personality.

Ideal Home

Summer would love a home with a backyard where she can zoom around, play, and sunbathe, but she could also thrive in an apartment or condo. She adores people and would be a fantastic companion for someone who enjoys hosting gatherings, as she'll be right in the middle of the fun! She also gets along wonderfully with children and would be a perfect addition to a family, having shown an immediate connection with a 7-year-old.

Ongoing Health

Summer is a rescue, so her exact breed and age cannot be guaranteed. She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations and preventative care.

Training & Support

Summer is a treat-motivated learner and already knows how to sit on command. She walks well on a leash and is crate and potty trained. She's ready for adventures like hikes, park visits, or even beach trips!

Summer is located in Houston, Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters).
