Meet Rocky!

This handsome 4-year-old Great Pyrenees has a remarkable story of resilience. Rocky was found wandering and unfortunately had to be treated for multiple porcupine quills on his face. Thankfully, he received excellent care from Laurel Highlands Animal Health and has fully recovered, feeling his best! Rocky can be a bit reserved when first meeting new people, but with a little patience and gentle encouragement, his wonderfully sweet and affectionate nature emerges. He absolutely adores human companionship and thrives on plenty of head scratches and belly rubs from his favorite humans.

Ideal Home

Rocky would thrive in a home where he can be the sole canine companion, as he prefers to be the only dog. While his feelings about cats are currently unknown, we're happy to conduct a cat test if you're curious. Due to some toy and food possessiveness, Rocky would do best in a household with children aged 12 and older who can understand and respect his personal space and boundaries.

Ongoing Health

Rocky has made a full recovery from his past injuries and has no ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Rocky is working on his toy and food possessiveness. Continued positive reinforcement and clear communication will help him continue to build confidence and manage these behaviors. Respecting his boundaries around his belongings will be key to his success.
