Meet Palmer! This handsome ~2½-year-old Border Collie mix, weighing in at 62 lbs, has been patiently waiting for his forever home while he healed from a significant abrasion to his foot. True to his breed and his resilient spirit, Palmer is ready for a lifetime of companionship. Palmer is happiest while doing what he does best — being active, fetching balls, playing with toys, and engaging with his people. He’s smart, athletic, and happiest when he has room to move and a purpose to focus on.

Ideal Home

Palmer would do best in an adult-only household that understands the needs of a driven, intelligent dog and is excited to include him as part of their daily routine.

Palmer is recovering from a significant abrasion to his foot.

Training & Support

Palmer is house-trained and has mastered the “sit” and “wait” commands. He loves leash walks, but sometimes his exuberance can be a bit overwhelming. We are sure that with consistency and regular walks, he will learn to be a perfect walking companion. He’s an intelligent dog who thrives with loving, consistent discipline and clear guidance.

Transporation

Palmer is located in South Mississippi, with transport available (for an additional fee) to approved adopters in the Northeast. Virtual meet-and-greets are performed prior to adoption.
