Gina is a 1-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, weighing 56lbs. She was found abandoned as a tiny puppy, sleeping in a cardboard box by a busy road. Despite her rough start, Gina has blossomed in her foster home and is now ready to find her forever family. She's a playful pup who enjoys a good game of tug-of-war and loves to collect all her toys in her bed. She's also learned to play fetch and can entertain herself! Gina is a smart and energetic girl who will make a wonderful companion.
Ideal Home
Gina would do best in an active home with a family who can provide her with plenty of play and exercise. She would thrive with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up) due to her tendency to jump when excited and her unknown size as a full-grown dog. She would also do well with a couple or someone living alone, as long as they understand what it takes to raise a large, active puppy. A home with another dog is recommended to keep her company and help her burn off energy. Gina is too enthusiastic about neighborhood kitties, so a cat-free home is a must.
Ongoing Health
Gina is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Gina is house and crate trained and can be crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She is currently in the "puppy velociraptor" stage and needs guidance on appropriate chew toys, but she does prefer to eat treats alone. She will benefit from ongoing socialization and positive reinforcement training to help her grow into a well-mannered adult.
