July is an 8-year-old, spayed female Pitbull mix who weighs 59 pounds. She was rescued from euthanasia at a county shelter in Houston, Texas, and is currently in a foster home there. July is a sweet, affectionate dog with a big heart who loves to cuddle and be near her people. She has a moderate energy level, enjoying walks, playtime with toys, and cute zoomies, before happily settling in for cuddle time. July is house-trained, comfortable in her crate, and generally non-destructive, though she might occasionally grab an unattended sandal. She's eager to please and responds well to guidance. July has shown to be friendly with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion, but is also happy being the only pet. She walks nicely on leash with a little room for improvement and rides well in the car, showing no reaction to dogs seen on walks.
Ideal Home
July would thrive in any home, apartment or house, as long as she has people to love and a cozy spot to snuggle. She has shown to be comfortable in both apartment and house settings. Due to her size and enthusiasm during zoomies, supervised play with very young children is recommended.
Ongoing Health
No ongoing health concerns are mentioned.
Training & Support
July walks nicely on leash with just a little pulling and would benefit from continued leash training. While generally non-destructive, keeping shoes picked up is a good idea.
