Precious (Spayed) (Photos 5/8/2025) (In Foster Care: Available for Adoption)

Precious is a lovely 2-1/2-year-old female American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a beautiful brown-and-white coat, a long tail, and a symmetrically marked face. She has dark brown eyes, a liver-colored nose, and short floppy ears. Precious arrived at the shelter on April 9, 2025, and it's unknown if she was a stray or surrendered, as no information was left with her. Upon arrival, she was covered in fleas, so she received a bath and flea treatment. She also had some sparse hair, likely due to allergies or a non-contagious mange. Precious weighed a healthy 62 lbs when she was found. Her fur is now growing back beautifully, and she looks like a different dog than when she first arrived. Precious can be vocal in her kennel, but when outside, she is a completely different dog, enjoying attention and posing for photos. She was spayed on July 16, 2025, and received a rabies vaccination. She now weighs 63.9 lbs. Precious went to a foster home on March 7, 2026, where she is being treated like royalty and receiving extra pampering while her foster family helps her find her forever home.

Precious would thrive in a home where she can enjoy a real home environment 24/7, away from a noisy shelter kennel.

Ongoing Health

Precious was treated for fleas and has sparse hair that is now growing back in, which was likely due to allergies or mange. She was spayed on July 16, 2025, and received a rabies vaccination.

Training & Support

While Precious can be vocal in a kennel, she is a different dog outside of it. She loves attention and is enjoying her time in foster care.
