Trix is an 8-month-old, approximately 35-pound spayed female Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul, despite her shy demeanor. She and her brother were surrendered to a shelter, and Trix, being the more timid of the two, has been in foster care to build her confidence. While initially fearful of humans due to being undersocialized, Trix has never shown any reactivity. Instead, she seeks a safe space when unsure. She is incredibly observant, picks things up quickly, and is a fast learner, already mastering the doggy door! With patience and trust-building, Trix softens, learns to play, and enjoys the company of other dogs. She's a quiet observer who, with commitment, will blossom into an extraordinary companion.
Ideal Home
Trix needs a home where someone is around most of the time, as she's still a puppy and building trust takes consistent effort. She requires patience, compassion, and commitment from a family willing to invest in her. While not an absolute requirement, a confident canine companion would help her thrive, but adopters without another dog should have a solid plan for socialization and confidence building.
Ongoing Health
Trix has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Trix is housebroken, loves her crate, and is learning to walk on a leash. She has been around children and is shy at first. Her history with cats is unknown. She is a diamond in the rough who will require patience and commitment as she gains confidence.
