Meet Astro! This silly, goofy, one-year-old, 24 lb boy may be small, but he has a huge heart and loves to snuggle. Astro's start in life wasn't so good; he spent his days in a crate on a balcony, never knowing how to be a dog, how to play, or how to be loved until a kind neighbor stepped in and rescued him. Astro is deaf, but that doesn't stop him! He's an amazing dog inside and out. He's great with the 9-year-old boy he lives with, plays nicely with the resident cat, and gets along well with the other dogs in the home.

Ideal Home

Astro would thrive in a home that understands his deafness and provides him with a loving, stable environment. He has already shown he's a great companion for children and gets along with cats and other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Astro has some allergy-related skin issues and does not tolerate chicken, pork, or eggs. He will be provided with supplements and his daily allergy medication. He is vaccinated, and neutering is scheduled soon. All of his paperwork is up to date.

Training & Support

Astro is house-trained. He will be adopted with his collar, harness, leash, food, a few toys, and his bed to help him settle in.
