Meet Joey Golden, a sweet boy with a true love for life! He's a gentle soul who has learned to be a good boy in the house and loves to keep himself busy with his toys. Joey is an affectionate cuddle bug who would love to curl up with you on the couch for movie night. He's a confident and trusting dog who will flop over for belly rubs. Joey is dog-friendly, has a wonderful balance of fun and calm, and is cat-friendly. He would even make a great buddy for your kids to grow up with, as he absolutely adores children!
Joey is believed to be a golden Labrador Retriever mix, born around June 1, 2025, and currently weighs 30 lbs. He's not expected to grow any larger. His tall and slender frame makes him the perfect size for napping. Joey is a happy, playful, and incredibly snuggly boy with a wonderfully calm personality for his age. He enjoys being outdoors, rides well in the car, and loves mini-adventures. He would thrive in a home with a fully fenced backyard where he can play and relax in the sun. Joey is dog-friendly and has a gentle play style, readily sharing treats, toys, and affection. He's also respectful of senior dogs and understands when it's time for a break. He would also do well as the only pet in the home. Joey is doing great with potty training and is crate trained. Consistency, structure, and treats will be key to his continued success. He's a super smart pup and eager to please!

Ongoing Health
Joey is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. He has also been heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
Training & Support
Joey is crate trained and doing well with potty training. Consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement with treats will be key to his continued success.

Joey is located in Texas and can be transported to various locations nationwide, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Pickup locations for Canadian adopters are in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
