Gwaihir

Meet Gwaihir! This sweet girl was born around February and recently traveled to Wisconsin with her siblings. Because they had each other for comfort during their early months, Gwaihir and her siblings didn't get as much one-on-one human interaction as many puppies do. Now, it's time for Gwaihir to build her confidence and learn that people can be wonderful companions. She's making amazing progress, going from hiding on her first day to bravely curling up on a lap and enjoying playtime with toys. She's also doing wonderfully with potty training and exploring the yard. Gwaihir can be a little shy and may bark when new people arrive, but she's learning every day that she's safe and getting braver. She's been good with resident dogs, finding comfort in their presence, and while she isn't ready to play with them yet, she's comfortable being near them.

Ideal Home

A patient and gentle home where Gwaihir can discover the world at her own pace. While not a requirement, a home with another friendly and confident dog could help her continue to blossom.

Training & Support

Gwaihir is still shy and may run away when approached, and she's not yet comfortable taking treats from a hand. She sometimes barks at new people due to uncertainty. She will need continued positive reinforcement and gentle encouragement to build her confidence. Celebrate small victories like tail wags and moments she chooses to approach you.
