Potato

Potato, a 2-year-old, 13lb sweetheart, is ready to be your loyal companion! He has a gentle presence that makes him incredibly comforting to have around. Potato can be a little shy in new situations, but with a little reassurance and a quiet space, he blossoms into an affectionate and relaxed friend. He loves to be by your side, whether you're relaxing on the couch or moving about the house. Potato is respectful of our resident cat and walks nicely on leash. He already knows "sit," "stay," and "no," and he'll show you his appreciation with enthusiastic tail wags. His quirks include taking naps very seriously, always finding the coziest blanket, and having strong opinions about the best lounging spots. He's even enjoyed watching "The Lion King" curled up with his foster family! Potato is low to moderate energy, content with short walks and playtime, and does well in apartment living. He would be happy as an only dog or with another calm, respectful pet after slow introductions.

Ongoing Health

Potato previously tested positive for heartworm and was treated before he left the Southwest.

Training & Support

Potato is eager to please and is already learning quickly. He's a great candidate for continued positive reinforcement training.
