Meet Honey Ham, but most people call him Hammie! This handsome 3-year-old Lab mix is a charming 60-pound boy with a heart full of love and a gentle soul. Hammie's journey began as a stray in East Texas, where he was found to be heartworm positive. After undergoing treatment and patiently recovering, he's now ready to find his forever family and start the life he's always deserved. Through it all, Hammie has remained an incredibly happy and loving companion, always eager to be near his people.

Ideal Home

Hammie is an easygoing companion who enjoys a nice walk and some playtime before settling in for a cozy night. He's a professional cuddler and the perfect binge-watch partner! He would do best in a home with a yard.

Ongoing Health

Hammie has been treated for heartworm and is now fully recovered.

Training & Support

Hammie is a smart boy who knows several commands and enjoys working for treats, making training a fun and rewarding experience. He is house-trained and crate-trained (command: "Crate"). While he is good with cats, he is curious and may need gentle redirection. He can be destructive with toys, but is otherwise well-behaved. He is not food aggressive, but may investigate treats or trash.
