Chester

Chester is a handsome German Shepherd mix with a heart of gold, though he may not show it right away. He's a bit cautious when first meeting new people, and it takes him a few encounters to warm up and let his true, loving personality shine through. This sweet boy has overcome a lot, including significant wounds on his paws that took a long time to heal, leaving him a bit wary of the world. Because of his past, he prefers to be the only pet in the home and would do best with a person who can give him the time and understanding he needs to build trust. Once he feels secure, Chester is a wonderful companion who loves to play with toys and snuggle. He has excellent manners, walks beautifully on a leash, and is a very good listener.

Ideal Home

Chester would thrive in a home where he can be the sole focus of his human's attention. He needs a patient and understanding adopter who is willing to give him the time he needs to trust and bond. He is not a good fit for homes with other dogs, cats, or children.

Ongoing Health

Chester's paws healed from past injuries, but it's important to be mindful of them. He is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Chester has excellent manners and walks well on a leash. He's a good listener and simply needs an adopter who understands his need for time to build trust.
