She's a professional cuddler, a champion kiss-giver, and a devoted companion who will stick by your side. She's goofy, full of life, and once she decides you're her person, you're hers for good! Sydney is an adventurous soul who adores car rides and is always game for a walk, an outing, or a trip to the dog park. She walks nicely on a leash and is curious and confident in new environments, often breaking into adorable zoomies once she feels at home.
Ideal Home
Sydney would thrive with an active family who enjoys including her in daily life. She's great with people of all ages, including children as young as 13 months, but can get a little jumpy when excited for affection. Families comfortable with an enthusiastic, affectionate dog and who can help guide gentle greetings would be a perfect fit. She enjoys having canine companions, especially medium-energy male dogs who respect her space initially. A calm or avoidant cat would also be fine, as Sydney is easily redirected. She can do well in an apartment or a house, as long as she gets plenty of activity.

Sydney is located in the Houston, Texas area. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run, USDA-certified transport system. Transport drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies for transport. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
