Freya is a human-loving, 2-year-old, 70 lb German Shepherd/Lab/Cattle Dog mix with a truly goofy personality that will fill your home with laughter! She is incredibly sweet with people and always ready for a cuddle and a kiss, especially when she's tired. Freya loves to play fetch for as long as you throw the ball, and she'll happily spend the whole day outside with you enjoying the sunshine. She's also a big fan of water and loves splashing in her kiddie pool on hot days. Freya absolutely adores being around people and is happy to be in any room you are. Her family is heartbroken to rehome her, but it has become necessary for everyone's safety and happiness.
Ideal Home
Freya needs a home where she is the only animal, as she has shown aggression issues with other dogs and cats. She would also do best in a home without small children due to her size and exuberance; a tall wooden fence is a must as she can jump over shorter fences.
Ongoing Health
Freya is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives, and is heartworm negative. She is currently on a daily anti-anxiety medication, which she takes without issue in a soft pill pocket with her dinner.
Training & Support
Freya knows basic commands like "sit," "stay/wait," "lay down," and "crate." She also knows unique commands like "I can't reach it" (to bring a toy closer) and "take a break" (to relax). She is fully crate trained and her crate is her safe space. She is used to being crated during work hours and at night. While she enjoys walks, her reactivity to dogs means she's accustomed to walking during off-peak hours.
