Niko Bear the Easy Going Sweetheart

Niko Bear looks like a dog who should have his own action movie – he's big, handsome, and covered in little scars that hint at a thousand adventures. But beneath that rugged exterior is one of the sweetest, gentlest souls you'll ever meet. He's a teddy bear disguised as a tough guy, ready to lean his entire body weight into you for affection with the softest eyes imaginable. Niko is approximately 4 years old and weighs around 74 lbs. We believe he may be a Pittie/Shepherd mix, but with rescue, breed and age are always a mystery.

Ideal Home

Niko enjoys a relaxed pace of life and would be happiest in a home with a backyard, rather than an apartment. He loves moseying around outside, sniffing, and enjoying fresh air.

Ongoing Health

Niko is a healthy boy who has received all necessary vetting.

Training & Support

Niko is potty trained and has wonderful house manners. He is still building confidence with crate training but is improving daily. He is not destructive and has proven to be a respectful houseguest. He is working on his leash skills and is becoming more comfortable with a leash.

• The adoption fee is $1,000 and includes all vetting, vaccinations, preventative care, microchip, and transport.
• A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.

Transportation

Niko is currently fostered in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
