Mavis is a sweet and gentle girl, born around February 2024, who had a quiet start to life with her elderly owner. When her owner was evicted, Mavis found herself needing a new beginning. Despite the upheaval, she has remained a friendly and loving companion. Mavis enjoys attention and being close to her people, and her soft, sweet personality truly shines once she feels comfortable and secure. While she can be a bit reserved around unfamiliar dogs at first, she would likely do very well as an only dog, receiving all the love and attention for herself. She could also thrive in a home with another dog, provided introductions are handled slowly, thoughtfully, and with guidance from someone experienced. Mavis has recently learned to walk on a leash and has been doing great with crate training. She just needs a patient and calm environment to help her feel safe and truly blossom into the loyal, loving companion we know she can be. If you believe that the most profound friendships are those that grow with time and last a lifetime, Mavis might be the perfect girl for you.
