Toaster

Toaster is a 2.5-year-old dog with a zest for life and a unique, wobbly gait due to a spinal break he sustained before coming into our care. Despite his uneven movement, Toaster's balance and coordination have improved significantly, and he's even managed to navigate short staircases! He's an enthusiastic and affectionate pup who sometimes gets a little too excited, occasionally play-biting or holding forearms in his mouth, though he's learning to temper his enthusiasm with humans. He's heartworm negative and has no other known medical concerns. Toaster seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, but his jerky movements have startled some. He's never met our resident cats, but we believe he would do best with older children due to his unsteady gait, to avoid accidental tumbles.

Toaster has a street-healed spinal break, which affects his gait. He is heartworm negative and has no other known medical concerns.

Training & Support

Toaster is doing well with keeping his kennel clean and shows great promise for easy housetraining. He's also surprisingly mellow on a leash. He is learning to manage his enthusiastic play style, especially when it comes to mouthiness with humans.
