Bernie is a very sweet and cuddly boy who lives for the times he can rest his head on you in any way. He has these really, really (really) endearing forehead wrinkles and dimples on his nose. He enjoys looking at himself in a mirror. He is a great helper in the kitchen by picking up any food that may have fallen on the floor.

Bernie is a very intelligent and inquisitive fella who likes to know what's happening around him. He is very easy to teach commands to and knows sit, down, stay, and come. He does get startled fairly easily and can be on edge when going outside. He does not care for other dogs. He is also quite strong - he doesn't pull on the leash when just walking him but if he sees a dog, he will pull.

Bernie is a very kind and loving soul who is incredibly trusting of people he likes. Bernie would thrive in a quieter and patient home where he can feel safe and settled.
