About Koda Bear Hug

Koda is the kind of dog who believes that if you're sitting down, there is probably room for him too. He's an affectionate, happy-hearted boy who is equal parts adventure buddy and oversized cuddle bug, always ready for a park day, a car ride, or an evening spent snuggled right in the middle of the people he loves most. Estimated to be around 1 year and 2 months old and weighing approximately 53 pounds, Koda is a rescue, so his breed and exact age are our best guess. What we know for certain is that he is a loving, people-oriented dog with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and absolutely no concept of personal space when cuddles are available. He has earned rave reviews in his foster home for being a wonderful house dog.

Ideal Home

Koda would thrive in a home that appreciates his enthusiasm for life and can continue to help him polish his manners as he is still growing out of his puppy days. He would absolutely love a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs, zoom around, and enjoy more outdoor adventures. He has been described as affectionate and gentle with children. Koda lives with cats and another dog and his foster shares that because of the size of both the dog and the kittens, he does best with supervision as he can be very curious and playful. He would do best with confident, dog-savvy feline friends. With dogs, he tends to be playful and excited, so he would be happiest with a tolerant, playful dog who won't mind reminding him about personal space from time to time.

Training & Support

Koda is house trained and crate trained, comfortably spending the workday relaxing quietly in his crate. He is continuing to practice his leash skills and is working on his excitement while out and about, as he can pull a bit when excited about the fun to be had. Continued guidance and training will help him become the best version of himself.
