Meet Blu!
Blu is a vibrant, approximately two-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix with boundless energy, a big heart, and a beautiful brown brindle coat with white accents. She followed a kind soul home from a grocery store and has been living with them ever since. Blu is spayed, vaccinated, and has lived with senior dogs and cats, showing gentle patience and a desire to belong. She's ready for a home to call her own, with a routine and a family to match her curiosity with companionship.
At 65 pounds, Blu is an affectionate, incredibly smart, and eager-to-please pup. She loves playing fetch with her frisbee, tug-of-war, chewing on yak cheese, and zooming around the yard. She also enjoys supervised shredding of soft toys and cardboard strips, which has helped channel her natural chewing instincts without damaging anything off-limits.
Blu knows an impressive list of commands and thrives with structure, training, treats, and praise. She is still working on her sensitivity to passing cars and men in baseball caps, but she is making steady progress with positive reinforcement.
Ideal Home
Blu is energetic and can get excitable, sometimes resulting in jumping and cobbing, though her caregivers have worked extensively on managing these behaviors. She can be destructive when under-stimulated, so regular mental and physical enrichment is essential. She does best with three walks a day, plenty of playtime, and enrichment activities. A fenced yard is a big plus, as is an active family who can include her in their daily routine. She is crate-trained, house-trained, and comfortable being left alone for short periods.

Blu is still working through her sensitivity to passing cars and men in baseball caps. She can be destructive when under-stimulated, so consistent mental and physical enrichment is crucial. She can sometimes jump up and cob when excitable.
