Meet Misty! This sweet 2-year-old, 55-pound Great Pyrenees mix is a bit shy at first, but she warms up quickly and becomes the most affectionate companion. She’s a polite lady who gets along well with cats and other dogs, and she’d likely do best with children who are past their toddler years. Misty is looking for a home where she can truly blossom with kindness and patience.

Ideal Home

Misty would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, which is a non-negotiable requirement. She’s looking for a family who appreciates quiet companions and can give her the time she needs to feel secure and comfortable. A cozy sofa for lounging would be a wonderful bonus!

Ongoing Health

Misty has a mildly collapsing trachea. While this sounds concerning, it simply means she needs to use a chest harness for walks and can't use a collar with a leash. With the correct harness, this condition is easily managed, and she only occasionally coughs if the harness is fitted incorrectly.

Misty is described as a quiet and polite dog. She is known to coexist nicely with cats and other dogs. The main support she needs is a patient family who understands her shy nature and can help her continue to gain confidence.
