Casimira is a sweet and gentle 5-year-old female Chihuahua, weighing approximately 8.7 lbs. She is a devoted mother, who along with her daughter Ramona, was rescued after their elderly owner could no longer care for them. Despite a difficult past where their "bed" was a hole in the dirt and they lacked proper food bowls, Casimira remains incredibly sweet, joyful, and trusting. She has adapted well to her new life and is a calm, loving dog who enjoys attention and craves a warm, kind, and soft place to rest. Casimira is ready for a home where she will experience only love, comfort, and security.
Ideal Home
Casimira would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. An open conscience about the needs of rescued animals and a willingness to provide protection and education is essential. Experience with dog behavior and training, or a commitment to hiring a trainer, is highly recommended. High tolerance and patience are also important, as Casimira is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Casimira is in good health. She has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, a Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. She has also had a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccines booklet are available.
Training & Support
Casimira is not house-trained and will require patience and understanding during her adjustment period. Providing a safe and loving environment, establishing a routine, and setting clear boundaries will help her feel secure. She benefits from positive reinforcement and a consistent approach to training.
