Nala is an 8-year-old, spayed female Shepherd/Retriever mix weighing 52 pounds. She was found abandoned in an area known for dog dumping and has been with a foster in Houston, Texas since being rescued. Despite her past, Nala is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet, with a tail that never stops wagging. She's a joyful girl with a peaceful presence, offering a wonderful balance of relaxed companionship and playful moments.
Ideal Home
Nala would do best in a home that appreciates her calm and loving nature. She's adaptable and can thrive in various environments, whether it's a family with children, a home with another friendly dog (especially larger breeds), or even as a solo dog soaking up all the attention. She would do well with kids of various ages, especially with respectful interactions. We have no history with cats.
Ongoing Health
Nala is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She has good manners around food and toys, though she may prefer some space while eating around unfamiliar dogs.
Training & Support
Nala is fully house-trained and crate-trained, resting comfortably in her crate for several hours a day and overnight. She walks nicely on a leash at a calm pace, occasionally needing a little encouragement to keep moving. She enjoys occasional playful zoomies but is generally relaxed and content lounging nearby.
