Meet Shep, a dog with a heart of gold!

Found abandoned in the Flamingos area of Bucerias, Shep is one of those dogs who immediately feels familiar, calm, gentle, and so grateful to be near people. He clearly once had a home: he knows basic commands, offers his paw for affection, and moves through the world with a quiet confidence. He thrives on three legs and gets around beautifully.

Ongoing Health

Shep came to us with a backleg injury, but our vet confirmed he is perfectly capable and pain-free just as he is.

Training & Support

Shep knows basic commands and loves giving his paw. He is a calm and steady companion who is great with other dogs.

• Approved adopters will be matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta.

Transporation

Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Approved adopters in the US and Canada will be matched with flight companions for transport from Puerto Vallarta. During the summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, transport may involve flying into the US and meeting at the Peace Arch Park at the border.
