Meet Michelle! This charming 3-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix, weighing around 48 pounds, is a true gem looking for her forever family. Rescued from a high-kill shelter, Michelle is embracing her second chance with an abundance of friendliness, affection, and social butterfly behavior, especially with her canine companions. She adores playtime and napping with her foster siblings, and while she can be a bit enthusiastic due to her size, she's excellent at reading cues and adjusting her play style. Outside, she's got energy to spare, but indoors, she's a calm and mellow housemate, happy to lounge or snooze.

Ideal Home

Michelle has shown herself to be sweet and loving with children ages 8 and up. However, she can jump when excited, so a home with children 12+ or dog-savvy teens who can manage her enthusiasm would be ideal. She would also thrive in a home with another friendly dog.

Michelle is a healthy girl, spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Michelle is fully housebroken, crate trained, and enjoys her crate. She's highly food motivated and a quick learner, though she does have a tendency to be a bit sneaky with food, so separate feeding is recommended. Continued leash training will help her improve her walking manners, as she currently tends to pull. She also loves to chew and can be an escape artist, so supervision and secure containment are important.
