Lotte is a fun, sweet girl with a heart full of love to give! She has been in a short-term foster home and has proven to be wonderful with children. Lotte is a true snuggler and a dedicated love bug, who enjoys being close to her people and would love to stay by your side. Her foster mom describes her as "so gentle, loving, and sweet." Lotte was born on January 9, 2023, and currently weighs about 49 lbs. Be prepared for her energetic spirit – she has been known to climb and jump over short fences, so a secure enclosure is a must!
Ideal Home
Lotte needs a home with a six-foot privacy fence or a similar type of fencing that she cannot climb. A fenced yard is required for Lotte's safety and happiness.
Ongoing Health
Lotte is eligible for our "Still Waiting, Still Loved Program." For select dogs who have been with us for a while, we offer a reimbursement program of up to $300 per year for the life of the animal. This program covers wellness exams, annual vaccinations (including Bordetella), and heartworm prevention. The adopter will be responsible for taking Lotte to their veterinarian for all services and submitting receipts for reimbursement.
Training & Support
Lotte's ability to climb fences indicates a need for a secure and tall fence. We recommend continued positive reinforcement and ample opportunities for exercise to keep her happy and well-behaved.

- A fenced yard (a minimum of six feet in height) is required for adoption.
- A home inspection, including a fence check, will be completed prior to adoption.
- A veterinary reference for previous pet owners is required (must have been current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention). If you do not have previous veterinary history, you will need to purchase a 3-month supply of heartworm prevention.
- If you are renting, verification with your landlord regarding pet acceptability and any restrictions or pet deposits is necessary.
- A meet and greet with any current pets in the household is required to ensure compatibility.
Transportation
Lotte is currently located at our facility. Local adoptions are preferred.
