Honey

Honey Comb is a sweet, affectionate, and silly 6-year-old terrier mix who weighs 68 lbs. She's the perfect blend of playful energy and cuddle bug, always happy to be by your side. Whether you're watching TV or reading a book, she'll be right there, nudging you for pets and resting her head on your lap. While she loves to be close, Honey Comb is also independent and can entertain herself, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. She loves a good romp in the yard, neighborly walks, car rides, and puzzle toys. Honey Comb is a social butterfly who adores meeting new people, young and old, and is great with children. Her signature move is the "stop, drop, and roll" for belly rubs! She's also an excellent houseguest, greeting visitors with a smile and a wagging tail. Honey Comb is smart, learns routines quickly, and is respectful of food. She's ready to find a family who will cherish her affectionate heart and loyal companionship.

Ideal Home

Honey Comb would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of quality time with her people. A fenced-in backyard is a must for her to play fetch and sunbathe. She'd prefer a quieter suburban or rural setting over a busy city, as she loves exploring nature trails and hikes. This sweet girl would do best as the only pet in the home, where she can receive all the love and attention. A feline-free home is also recommended. She would love to have human siblings to share her love with, and it's recommended she be in a home with children aged 4 and up to avoid accidental bumps from her wagging tail.

Ongoing Health

Honey Comb is fully potty trained, kennel trained, and leash trained. She is not destructive and can be trusted when left alone. She will communicate when she needs to go outside by tap dancing by the door.

Training & Support

Honey Comb is great with kids and has been taught to be calm with new visitors. She loves to cuddle and play fetch. She enjoys naps but is also ready for fun and adventure. She would love a monthly BarkBox subscription for new toys and chews, and puzzle games and chew bones will be great for keeping her busy indoors.

• The adoption fee is $350, which includes an adoption fee of $100 and a transport fee of $250.
• The adoption fee covers all age-appropriate vaccinations, spay procedure, microchip, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and any necessary vet care while in our care.
• The transport fee covers the transportation from Honey Comb's foster home to her forever home.

Transportation

Honey Comb is currently in a foster home in Austin, TX. She can be adopted and transported to various locations; please visit www.loveandpuppypawsdogrescue.com/transport-locations for more information. Transports occur monthly, and adoptive families will need to meet the transport to pick up their new family member. Please note that pets are adopted to their forever families prior to transport.
