Major Tom

Major Tom is a handsome, intelligent boy with a big personality and a heart full of love to give. He can be a bit shy and uncertain when meeting new people, but once he trusts you, he's incredibly devoted and will be your loyal shadow. He's a smart cookie, already knowing how to "sit" and is a champ at using pee pads or scratching at the door to let you know he needs to go outside. Major Tom also adores bath time and a good blow-dry, making him a pretty pup!

Ideal Home

Major Tom would thrive in a calm, quiet home environment where he can feel secure. He's a bit overwhelmed by chaos and loud noises, so a home without young children would be best. He also does well with other dogs, especially playful ones he can learn from, but he's not a fan of overly boisterous canine companions. A securely fenced yard is a must, as he's not yet comfortable with walks on a leash.

Training & Support

Due to some early socialization challenges, Major Tom can be a little timid and fearful around new people and situations. He sometimes barks or growls out of nervousness, but with patience and calm introductions, he quickly warms up and shows his sweet nature. He can also submissively tinkle if startled or picked up too quickly, but this is something he's working through with his foster family. He loves to play with toys, though he tends to "dismantle" them with enthusiasm! He's a quick learner and his foster parents have been working with him on his confidence and social skills.
