Rex

Meet Rex! He's a lovable goofball with a big head, an even bigger heart, and a wiggle that won't quit! Rex's story is one of resilience and second chances. He was discovered tied up and abandoned but thankfully found safety and care. Despite his past, Rex's joyful spirit shines through, greeting everyone with a full-body wiggle, a furiously wagging tail, and a big smile. He loves daycare and playing with his dog friends, enjoying tug-of-war, chewing on bones, or cuddling. Rex is also a huge fan of snacks!

Ideal Home

Rex would thrive in a home where he can be a cherished family member, get regular exercise, and most importantly, never have to worry about being left behind again. We cannot adopt to homes with invisible fences due to increasing coyote activity and the difficulty of predicting a dog's response to this type of containment.

Ongoing Health

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.

Training & Support

Rex is a happy and social boy who enjoys playtime and treats. He will reward his new family with endless kisses, unwavering loyalty, and plenty of laughs.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt.
• We do not do same-day adoptions.
• You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• We do request vet and personal references.

Transporation

Rex is located at our Cincinnati-based shelter and we can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius.
