Augusta Georgia Peach

Augusta is a 3-year-old female Chihuahua mix with a beautiful speckled short coat. She was found as a 6-week-old puppy in a parking lot, suffering from urine burns and covered in feces. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan reached out for help, and Augusta joined our rescue, where she has been thriving ever since. Augusta was born blind, but this has not held her back one bit! She navigates her surroundings with ease and is a confident little girl. She may not see the world, but she feels it through kindness, warmth, and love – and of course, treats! Augusta is a big foodie and enjoys walks on a leash, as long as you communicate with her so she knows you're there. She's a sweet and silly girl who loves to do all the things a typical dog enjoys. Augusta gets along with other dogs, cats, and children, and she'll happily follow you around, always wanting to be close to her person.

Ideal Home

A home with a fenced-in yard is required. Doggy doors and electric fencing are not suitable for Augusta.

Ongoing Health

Augusta was born blind. Her adoption fee of $450 includes yearly vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, microchipping, worm and parasite treatment and testing, negative heartworm test, spaying, and up-to-date flea, tick, and heartworm monthly preventions.

Training & Support

Augusta is still working on potty training and may have accidents. She will need time, patience, and reassurance to succeed in this area.
