Meet Venus! This sweet and affectionate 5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix, weighing around 45 lbs, is searching for her forever family. Venus is the type of dog who will gently rest her head on your lap and gaze at you like you're her whole world. She's calm and people-oriented, happy to match your energy whether you're relaxing on the couch or heading out for an adventure. She absolutely loves to play with other dogs, enjoying zoomies and wrestling in the backyard. Venus also adores toys and playing with her humans. Her goofy charm shines through when she gets excited and her little woos of joy. She has a particular fondness for water, happily splashing in kiddie pools or streams. Venus is also a great traveler and rides well in the car, making her a perfect companion for road trips or park visits.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she's truly part of the family. She would do best in a home without cats, as she shows a strong interest in chasing them. While she hasn't met young children, her foster believes she could do well in a family with older, respectful kids who understand boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Venus is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites of other dogs' meals.
Training & Support
Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house. She is still working on leash manners as she can pull, but she is learning quickly and is very food motivated.

Transporation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA. For those outside Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible. Transports run every few weeks and approved adopters will be placed on the next available transport.
