Ideal Home
Sandy does amazing with all dogs and has a gentle play style, naturally matching the energy of her canine companions. Having another dog in the home is a must to help build her confidence, so she'll do best with at least one other dog. A secure, fenced yard is also a must for her to explore safely as she settles in. Sudden movements can make her skittish, so she'd do best in a home with older, respectful children who can give her the space she needs to feel secure.
Ongoing Health
Sandy is fully vetted, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also had a heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Sandy is fully crate trained and 100% potty trained, with no accidents in foster care. She loves her daily walks, is non-reactive to distractions, and does great on short car rides. While she's not highly treat-motivated, Colby Jack cheese is her irresistible weakness! She is incredibly quiet and rarely barks. Sandy loves affection on her own terms, showing it through slow movements and enjoying chin scratches, head rubs, and chest massages. Her ideal family will be patient and provide a stable, supportive environment to help her continue building her confidence.
