Micaela

Micaela is a resilient and gentle 2-year-old Husky who has overcome significant hardship. She arrived at the shelter in pain with a fractured jaw and bleeding gums. Despite her difficult past, which included neglect and a stay at a high-kill shelter, Micaela is showing incredible bravery and a loving spirit as she begins her healing journey. She leans into gentle touch and watches her caregivers with grateful eyes, slowly learning that she is safe and loved. Micaela has also begun treatment for heartworm. She is now ready to find a forever home where she will be cherished and never experience pain or neglect again.

Ongoing Health

Micaela is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment for heartworm and has had extensive dental work including extractions due to old, untreated fractures. She is expected to live a completely normal, pain-free life.

Micaela is learning to trust and feel safe. She responds well to gentle touch and kindness.
