New people might make him a little unsure at first, but with a little patience, treats, and gentle pets, he quickly melts into a comfortable, affectionate companion. He enjoys just hanging out by your side, soaking up affection in his calm, easygoing way. Peter is perfectly content just being with you, not demanding attention but happy to receive it.
Ideal Home
Peter would thrive in a home where his quiet nature is appreciated. He could do wonderfully in an apartment or a home with a yard for sniffing and fresh air. He would do best with slightly older, more understanding children who can match his calm energy.

Training & Support
Peter walks nicely on leash. He is a respectful dog around other canines, preferring those who also respect his space. He has been around cats and did just fine, showing his usual calm nature. Continued guidance and proper introductions will help set everyone up for success in a new home.

- The adoption fee is $1,000 and includes all vetting, vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, flea and heartworm preventatives, microchip, a Martingale collar, a health certificate for travel, and the cost of transport.
- Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
Transportation
We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies for transportation.
