Bailey-Sue is a 4-year-old, 57lb spayed female pittie mix who is playful, affectionate, and brave. She came to us after surviving physical abuse, and after months of healing, her resilience and gentle spirit now shine through. She needs a patient, loving home that will allow her to open up at her own pace. Once she trusts, she is pure love!
Ideal Home
Bailey adores children and currently lives with kids aged 3 to 17. She would enjoy the companionship of another dog, ideally a calm male dog between 30-80 lbs who can match her energy and help her feel confident. Slow introductions are key to her success with other dogs. She needs a home that understands she may take time to feel safe and confident, and her reactions to new people or dogs are rooted in fear, not aggression.
Ongoing Health
Bailey is a healthy girl, and her adoption donation includes her transport.
Training & Support
Bailey is fully house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping through the night. She has excellent manners and has never shown food or toy guarding. She walks nicely on leash once she's had a chance to burn off some energy. Continued leash work will help her be her best self. She can be cautious with strangers but warms up quickly.
