Ollie is a handsome 2-year-old, 49 lb Catahoula mix who is as smart and striking as he is sweet. He’s potty trained, good with cats, and does well with most dogs after a proper introduction. What Ollie really loves, though, is exploring the outdoors — hiking trails, horseback rides, and adventures with his person are his happy place. At home, Ollie is loving and affectionate but can be protective of his space, so he’ll do best with an experienced owner who understands the importance of structure and leadership. He hasn’t been around kids yet, so an adult-only home is preferred until we know more. Ollie does experience separation anxiety and will need to be crated in a secure, heavy-duty crate when left alone. He’s not destructive — he just misses his people and tries to find them. A consistent routine and continued training will help him thrive.

Ideal Home

Ollie would do best in a home with an active person or family who loves outdoor adventures, a secure, fenced yard (6 ft required), no young kids, and an experienced dog owner. He will also need a heavy-duty crate and a patient approach to managing separation anxiety.

Ollie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
